TUESDAY Social Bowls
One game of fours and one game of triples were played. The fours match proved the highlight of the morning, with the team of Joy, Kerrie, Deb and Nerida locked in a tight battle against Joy (bonus bowler), Sandra, Pat and Teresa. Scores were level heading into the second‑last end, but Nerida’s team secured the win with two shots on the final end.
The triples match saw Gloria, Rosie and Kim record a solid win over Joan, Elaine and Marg. While not as close as the fours, it was still an enjoyable and competitive game for all involved.
Lucky winners: Joy, Kerrie, Deb and Nerida
Lucky losers: Joy, Sandra, Pat and Teresa
Lucky bowler: Deb
Raffle winners: Deb and Teresa
Pennants:
The opening round of Ladies Pennants was played at Urunga on Thursday morning. The home side claimed the overall win 40–31 on the masterboard, with our club finishing with one rink up and one rink down. The match was played in good spirit, with several excellent bowls delivered across both rinks.
Grade 2 had the bye this week but travelled to Urunga to support their fellow players.
Grade 4 will have the bye next week, while Grade 2 will host Kempsey at home.
