BUSINESSES across the Nambucca Valley are being encouraged to make the most of a range of workshops, networking opportunities and promotional initiatives being delivered throughout Small Business Month this October.
Nambucca Valley Council has partnered with a range of organisations to offer a diverse program designed to help businesses strengthen their marketing, build networks, and access support.
“Small Business Month is an opportunity for local businesses to connect with the broader business community and for the broader community to show their appreciation to small businesses,” the council’s Economic Development and Tourism manager, Janice Rooney said.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our valley’s economy, creating local jobs, supporting our communities and contributing to the unique character of our towns.
“Small Business Month provides a valuable opportunity for business owners to gain new skills, make new connections and discover resources that can help them grow in an increasingly competitive environment.”
A key initiative during the month is the council’s Shop Local Campaign, which encourages residents and visitors to support local businesses and keep spending within the region.
Businesses are invited to make use of a suite of free promotional resources and digital assets.
The Nambucca Valley Small Business Month program includes:
