Entries Open For 2026 Tidy Towns awards

ENTRIES are now open for the 2026 Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Tidy Towns awards, with communities, councils, organisations, businesses and individuals encouraged to showcase their environmental achievements.

Since 1981, Keep Australia Beautiful NSW has recognised projects and initiatives that demonstrate environmental leadership, sustainability and strong community spirit across the state.

The long-running awards program celebrates efforts that help create cleaner, greener and more connected communities while promoting innovation and responsible environmental practices.

The awards cover a wide range of categories: Circular Economy, Community Spirit and Inclusion, Litter Prevention, Liveable Cities/Towns, Biodiversity Conservation, Local Heroes, Young Legends aged up to 25 and the Overall Award.

Submissions close on 31 July, with category judging and assessor visits scheduled between August and September.

Winners of the Tidy Towns Awards will be announced in October.

The awards are delivered through two programs.

The Tidy Towns Awards recognise regional, rural and coastal communities, while the Sustainable Cities Awards focus on metropolitan areas.
