Grassy Head Road road closure

NAMBUCCA Valley Council will close a section of Grassy Head Road from Monday 17 August for approximately two weeks to complete structural repairs.

The works will take place along a 250-metre section at the northern end of the road, extending from near the Scotts Head Road intersection south to 865 Grassy Head Road.

Council advises that the closure will directly impact two adjacent properties.

Nambucca Valley Council Acting General Manager David Moloney highlighted the necessity of the project.

“Grassy Head Road is one of our valley’s important connector roads and its northern sections of pavement have deteriorated significantly,” Mr Moloney said.

Commencing on 17 August, weather depending, traffic controllers, road pavement patching crews, and heavy plant equipment will begin operations at the site.

“I thank our community for their patience while we carry out this road upgrade,” Mr Moloney said.

Residents with questions or concerns regarding the roadworks are encouraged to contact the Council on (02) 6568 2555.

Council encourages residents to sign up to Council’s Antenno app to stay up-to-date on Council works.
