Locals and visitors are invited to help shape the Nambucca Valley’s destination brand

NAMBUCCA Valley Council residents, visitors and local businesses are being invited to help tell the story of what makes the Nambucca Valley special through the council’s community survey ending on Monday 19 January.

Council is seeking input to identify the unique qualities, experiences and sense of place that define the valley, with the aim of developing, alongside tourism operators, a destination brand that celebrates the region and better markets it to visitors.

General Manager Bede Spannagle said local voices are central to shaping how the valley is presented to the world.

“The Nambucca Valley is a place of rich natural beauty, unique local character and a laid-back lifestyle, and we want our destination brand to reflect this,” Mr Spannagle told News Of The Area.

“By sharing your stories and insights, you can help us to showcase our valley and articulate what makes it truly special.”

As an added incentive, participants who complete the short survey will go into the draw to win two nights’ accommodation at Ingenia Holiday Park Nambucca Heads, along with a $200 dining gift voucher for the V-Wall Pavilion.

Council says every response will contribute to a shared narrative that highlights the valley’s connection to place, community and the environment.

It aims to build a sustainable visitor economy that benefits locals and businesses alike.

The destination branding project was identified in Council’s Delivery Program and Economic Development & Tourism Strategy 2025/26–2029/30.

The survey is open now and closes at 5pm on Monday, 19 January 2026.

To take part in the survey readers can visit council’s website www.nambucca.nsw.gov.au and search Destination branding survey.
