NEWS Of The Area (NOTA) is seeking an experienced advertising sales representative to strengthen the impact of its print and digital publications in the Coffs Coast and Nambucca Valley regions.
This key role – available either full-time or part-time for the right person – is suited to an experienced sales professional looking to be part of an exciting independent media project.
The essence of the position is around building strong connections with the Coffs Coast and Nambucca Valley business sectors.
“We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales, passionate about their community and who wants to play a vital role in a growing media company,” said General Manager Rochelle Wright.
“We need someone who can engage well with the business community, find and build strong client relationships, and provide top quality service to our advertisers.”
This work-from-home role offers an attractive base remuneration, a car allowance, and a great bonus structure.
A driver’s licence and car is required.
Applications can be made by emailing your resume, together with a letter of application outlining why you would be the best person for this role, to office@newsofthearea.com.au.
What our ad reps say
Hunter-based NOTA advertising sales representative Tracey Bennett says her role is an opportunity to build connection to the community.
“Every day I get the opportunity to work with local businesses, hear their stories, build relationships, and help them grow,” she said.
“It’s rewarding seeing businesses attract new customers and become more recognised in the community through advertising and promotion with NOTA.
“I also love being part of a locally owned and operated newspaper that supports local businesses, local events, and helps keep our regional communities connected.”
Tracey says one of the best things about the role is that no two days are the same.
“One day I might be helping launch a new business, the next creating advertising campaigns, organising Business Showcases, or promoting community events and initiatives,” she said.
Camden Haven-based ad rep Chan Ansell said working for a family-owned business like NOTA is “rewarding in so many ways”.
“There’s nothing better than getting out and about, meeting new people, seeing familiar faces and watching local businesses grow through advertising.
“I love building relationships, supporting locals and helping our customers get their name out into the community.”
