WE like to try different locations, so this month we headed to Urunga.
Mother Nature knew that spring had arrived and presented us with a perfect sunny, warm day and a rising tide.
There is a saying that you can’t have everything.
What could possibly be missing?
You guessed it. Fish, of course.
We always try a range of baits like pilchards, prawns, chicken and even fly-fishing. Positions were taken up along the bank of the Kalang River.
Greg likes to show us how to catch fish no matter what the circumstances by reeling a bream early on in the morning.
There were plenty of bites but no other catches for a while.
It took Joanne to show us the way. A quality flathead earned the title of catch of the day.
Jai caught a bream and Morelle added to the variety with a whiting.
