THE GRINCH got more than he bargained for as the Valla Rural Fire Service Brigade wound its merry way around the community on its annual Santa Run.
The kids were packing heat in the way of water pistols and the wannabe spoiler copped a bucketing.
Santa was ever popular and so were the sweets and ice blocks that were handed out to one and all by the elves.
The Brigade expressed its appreciation to the ‘Santa’s Sack’ sponsors – Valla’s Casa Bella Estate Agents, The Reject Shop, IGA and Nambucca Woolies – who supported this year’s run.
With an eye on recruitment, the brigade hopes to welcome more community members to the station next to Valla Hall as volunteers in 2026.
