Grassy Head roadworks extended by one weekWEB:

WET weather has delayed rehabilitation to a 250-metre stretch of pavement on Grassy Head Road and work has consequently been extended by one week.

Nambucca Valley Council (NVC) advises that the rock subbase layer is now completed on the northbound lane and most of the gravel pavement layer has been placed.

From now until the completion of works, Grassy Head Road will continue to be open to vehicles through a one-lane contraflow traffic control arrangement as follows:

  • Outside of construction hours: from 3.30pm in the afternoons, up until 7.15am in the mornings on Tuesday to Friday 25-28 August and 31 August-4 September
  • From 7.15am to approximately 8.30am on the above construction days, vehicles will be provided access through the work site in a contraflow traffic arrangement.

Grassy Head Road will be closed to vehicles:

  • From approximately 8.30am to 3.30pm Tuesday to Thursday 25-28 August and Monday to Friday 31 August-4 September, weather depending
  • All vehicles* will need to detour via Stuarts Point and the Pacific Motorway, during these times.

*Vehicles excepted are those driven by residents who live directly adjacent to the work site and whose driveways intersect the work site. Driveway access will be maintained, under the guidance of work site staff.

If community members have any questions about the work, they can contact Council on (02) 6568 2555.

This partial road closure has also been put on Live Traffic to assist with route planning for commuters when using navigational apps. If you want to stay up-to-date on Council works, consider downloading Council’s Antenno app.
