Council’s $56 million draft budget released for community feedback

NAMBUCCA Valley Council has placed its 2026–27 Draft Annual Budget on public exhibition, giving the community an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed spending and priorities.

The draft budget will remain on exhibition until Wednesday 27 May 2026.

Nambucca Valley Acting General Manager David Moloney said community members can now have their say on the draft budget, which proposes expenditure of $56.11 million on capital works and services over the 2026–2027 financial year.

“The draft budget proposes delivering a good range of infrastructure, assets and facilities improvements,” he said.

“Community members are invited to view the 2026-27 Draft Annual Budget, Draft Fees and Charges 2026-27, and Draft Long Term Financial Plan on Council’s website and make a submission, should they wish to.”

Residents can access the draft documents online via Council’s website or review hard copies available at Council’s Administration Building at 44 Princess Street, Macksville, and at Nambucca Valley Libraries.

Community members wishing to provide feedback are required to make their submission in writing to the General Manager, Nambucca Valley Council, PO Box 177, Macksville NSW 2447.

Submissions received may be included in a Council business paper or otherwise publicly disclosed.

All submissions must be lodged by the closing date of 27 May.
