A SIZZLE of sausage dogs will descend upon Club Scotts on Sunday, 21 June, to celebrate World Dachshund Day with the annual Dachshund Festival.
The dog friendly event will feature competitions for the longest, shortest and best-dressed dachshunds, pet store displays and a free photo booth.
The event is timed with the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere and the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, which organisers believe makes it the perfect day to celebrate dogs with long bodies and short legs.
Gourmet hot dogs will be available, served by the team at Stoney’s By the Beach.
