LoggerHeads predict a strong year, ahead of 40th LoggerHeads Malibu Classic

THE holiday season saw the Nambucca Valley’s LoggerHeads Malibu Club come together for their Annual Presentation Day and Christmas Function held at Club Scotts.

Club President Barry Jagoe addressed members and guests reflecting on a standout year of growth and momentum for the LoggerHeads.

He noted that membership and participation had continued to strengthen over the past 12 months.

Increased membership leaves the club in excellent shape as it prepares for a major milestone which is the upcoming 40th Annual LoggerHeads Classic to be held in July.

The Presentation Day recognised achievements across multiple divisions for the 2025 season.

In the Opens division, Ross Davis claimed top honours with Joel Parkhouse finishing second.

The Ladies division was won by Kerrie Murray followed by Holly Williams in second place.
The Over 60s title went to Ian Stalker with Gary Farrell securing second.

The Old Mal division resulted in a rare and well-received tie shared by PJ and Troy Martin.

Special club awards were also presented on the day.

Most improved went to last year’s Club Champion Tony Burton.

The Club Member of the Year award was presented to Mick Birtles, the “Classic at the Classic” honours went to LoggerHeads Vice President Kris Turner.
The Animal Award was claimed by Troy Martin.

With trophies presented, stories shared and festive cheer in abundance, the event highlighted not only individual achievements but the strong sense of camaraderie and fun that continues to define the LoggerHeads.

As anticipation builds for the 40th running of the LoggerHeads Classic, the club is looking forward to another memorable year both in and out of the water.
