Macksville Music Muster 2026 returns in February

THE Macksville Music Muster is set to take over Macksville Showground again with the annual Country Music festival taking place on 16-23 February 2026.

This five-day event presents 10 artists: Ricki Wood, Owen Blundell, Kiara Rodrigues, Kathy Carver, Vanessa Sanger, Larry Cann, Pete Smith, Trevor Tolton, Leigh Warren with featured artists on the Saturday night Tania Kernaghan and Jason Owen.

“Artists are selected from all over Australia on how they suit the Classic Country Theme of the Macksville Muster,” co-founder and organiser Vanessa Sangar told News Of The Area.

“We select artists who we feel will best be suited to our audience of families, Grey Nomads, young and old, so there is something for everyone.

“A little variety is thrown in with our Rock ‘n’ Roll Night, some feature concerts throughout the week, line dancing, musical bingo, pony hops and more.”

2026 brings back the Family Fun Day on Saturday 21 February with kids rides, stalls, food trucks, True Blue Truck Bar and the headliner act Tania Kernaghan and Jason Owen.

The Macksville Music Muster is ongoingly held in honour of Glen Albrecht who was instrumental in getting the Macksville Music Muster up and running in 2019 with Ms Sanger.

“Glen, who passed away in 2022 after a short battle with cancer, was a wonderful talented musician,” Ms Sanger said.
