THE Macksville Show will return on 17 and 18 April, bringing with it another exciting celebration of agriculture and entertainment to the Nambucca Valley.
Long recognised as one of the premier agricultural events on the Mid North Coast, the show attracts exhibitors from across the region and draws strong support from the local community.
The event is operated by the Nambucca River Agricultural Society, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to serving the community through events such as the Show.
The Macksville Show traditionally has a strong emphasis on equestrian events and, with 2026 being the Year of the Horse, an even heavier focus on horses in centre ring will feature alongside a full program of established show attractions.
Visitors can expect a wide range of competitions and displays including horses, cattle, goats, produce, dogs and poultry, along with many other activities that highlight the region’s agricultural strengths.
In addition to the traditional elements, this year’s show promises plenty of family-friendly entertainment, with rides, sideshow alley attractions and a lineup that includes stunt bikes, camel races and fireworks.
“The big crowd pleaser from the past few years, the Stunt Bikes, are returning again and there is also a lot of excitement being generated around the inclusion of camel racing at this year’s show,” Show Society Vice President Michael Ettelson told News Of The Area.
