FOLLOWING a nice drop of rain the course was in great condition for the Darren Pike sponsored Stableford event.
With a big field ,good scores were the order of the day and playing off an eleven handicap Karl Cooper finished with a net seven under par 43 points to win with runner up Peter Urquhart two shots away on 41 points.
While Steve Hosking surprised himself with his first ever birdie on the sixth, Jordan Welsh started his day with an eagle on the first.
Nearest the pins went to Dale Brunsdon and Peter Urquhart.
In the ladies Stableford event Ann Antcliff was the winner with the consistent Desma Hughes finishing runner up. To top it off both of these ladies won a nearest the pin.
In the 242nd Mid Week competition Ron McDonald was the winner with Tony Grebert the best of the chasers.
Jeff Gore’s controlled nine hole Chook Run event which sees winners handicap reduced by any points over 20 and other players gaining one shot gives all regulars a chance of winning. Winner was Bob Lindsay with Lance Hore runner up. Paul Hyam and Max Graham were the straight shooters with nearest the pins.
