DAVE Mattacott’s theory that it’s impossible to find the tail tip of the leaderboard in a comp game at the Nambucca Heads Island Golf Course has been shredded more finely than a drastically reduced dress between contesting customers at the Boxing Day sales.
He and Club President Geoff Harris combined for 30 points in the Nambucca Glass medley fourball best ball stableford on Saturday to finish in 48th place, but they did manage to make it just past the amenity block on the 13th in their match for a Keno ticket against the other pair.
